After a slow few days fishing for the fleet it was great to get in amongst the fish again. There were hundreds of Spinner Dolphins 20 miles off Quepos with lots of Tuna in amongst them. We spent an hour trying to catch a Tuna throwing everything we had at them but they would not bite.
The Sailfish did not disappoint though & throughout the day we raised 16 Sailfish, had bites from 15, released 6 & lost 1.
The story of the day was 11 year old Raegan who done a great job in catching 3 Sailfish and showing her older brothers how to do it. One fish took off like a steam train & we were certain it was a Striped Marlin only for it to show itself after a 20 minute battle & reveal that it was a hard fighting Sailfish.
Grady aged 14 caught 2 Sailfish whilst Dad caught one too.
A really fun day out and great to see the kids enjoying themselves on the water surrounded by nature.
