Another stellar day aboard GOOD DAY yesterday with Jay & Gaye from Georgia joining us.
We searched for Wahoo in the morning, possibly hooked 1 which threw the hook after a long run and had fun catching small Tunas at the reef along with Tuna Mackerels, Jacks & countless bonitos. We lost something big on a live bonito on the bottom after a great fight, which looked like a big Cubera Snapoer.
Later in the afternoon we moved area to try for a Marlin & Jay was delighted to catch his first ever Blue Marlin which taped out to 110” (9’ 2”). His smile said it all, what a fish & what a perfect end to the day, tagged & released for Gray FishTag Research
