We started the day Inshore as the guys wanted to catch a Roosterfish, we caught a nice sized Jack, a Shark & got bit off by a Mackerel but no luck on the Roosters.
We headed offshore and fished 24-26 miles offshore in an area that has been producing fish the past few days.
We missed a Sailfish straight away which went airborne & threw the bait skywards. Then we caught a nice Dorado.
Stephen was delighted to the release his first ever Sailfish on his second attempt after a previous visit to Costa Rica s few years back.
It was pretty slow out there but then we found a group of birds working some bait on the surface, everything looked great and we worked it hard for more than an hour and on two occasions BIG Bull Dorado came into our spread like freight trains but would just not take any of our baits.
We pulled the hook on another Sailfish late in the day and whilst it was a slow day, Stephen was happy he caught his first Billfish.
