2021 Pescadora Billfish Championship
Pescadora means Lady Angler & safe to say our girls had a total blast this weekend during the Pescadora Billfish Championship!
Huge thanks to our team BAD GIRLS ON GOOD DAY Cate Gilmour, Anne Michèle, @Debbie Pierog & Kelie Limehouse for being totally amazing in every sense!
Our catch report aboard GOOD DAY for the weekend:
Day 1 - 6 Tuna & 3 Sailfish
Day 2 - 3 Tuna
This was good enough for 2nd place in the Tuna division.
Super proud of my wife Cathy for going 1 hour 57 minutes with a Tuna on 30lb stand up tackle. Her body had all but given up but she hung in there, pushed through & we got the fish, which tipped the scales to 46lbs. We thought it was an 80 pounder by the fight but the leader was wrapped around a fin making it super hard to control. Kelie Limehouse was an amazing support to Cathy throughout the fight, think midwife/birth partner!!
Some simply incredible fishing from the big boats & congrats to all winners!
1st place - Agitator 42 Sailfish & 4 Marlin
2nd place - Outage 42 Sailfish
3rd place - Vaquero 29 Sailfish & 1 Marlin
Tuna Division Winner - Stress Reliever 135lbs
2nd place Tuna - GOOD DAY 129lbs
Dorado Division winner - Zaguate 97lbs (2 fish)
