Today was day 2 of the Offshore World Championship here at Marina Pez Vela Costa Rica.
It was great to have Team Portugal (Eduardo, Joao & Luis) fishing with us aboard Good Day, what a great bunch of guys.
The boys fished their socks off and were unlucky to lose a couple of Sailfish whilst we were in the turn looking for doubles/triples and we raised plenty of fish today (14 Sailfish total), they were just not biting the strongest unfortunately & not making it easy for the guys to hook up. We spent much of the day running heavy lures seeing if we could find a couple of Marlin but no joy unfortunately.
So just 1 Sailfish release to add to the scoreboard today but there is still 2 days left and all to play for.
A total of 34 Marlin & 326 Sailfish have been released after 2 days of competition.
We have Team Brazil fishing with us tomorrow, who are currently sat in first place with 2 Marlin, 19 Sails & a Dorado.
We’re getting good at the 4am starts, wish us luck out there tomorrow!
