What an epic weekend in the books we just had in the PELAGIC ROCKSTAR here at Marina Pez Vela Costa Rica. 91 boats set out in search of the fish required to get in amongst $1.4m

Team SALTY CANUCKS Chris, Brian & Steve representing Garrett's Broken Arrow Lodge in Canada joined us aboard GOOD DAY for the weekend & safe to say we had a blast from start to finish.
Thursday - practice day
Chris caught his first blue Marlin!

Friday - Day 1 Rockstar
7 for 8 Sailfish
1 Tuna
5 Dorado
We caught the 2nd largest Dorado of the day at 26lbs. The 31 pounder that won day 1 scooped the $70,000 heaviest Dorado daily! Such a crazy amount of money on the line for such fine margins between fish! A lot of what if’s that night!
Saturday - Day 2 Rockstar
2 for 3 Sailfish
7 Dorado
12 Tuna
We lost a nice Dorado on the 2nd day & a 20 pounder was the largest we brought to the scales. As luck would have it & you have got to be lucky in these type of events, our combined weight of 46lbs for our day 1 & day 2 fish pushed us into 1st place in the Dorado tournament. There was a 41 pounder caught on day 2 but they did not weigh a dorado on day 1 so lost out on the aggregate weight.
So the Salty Canucks aboard GOOD DAY took home 1st place Dorado & a whopping cheque for $41,405! We came 9th in the Tuna division & had a blast catching 9 Sailfish.
