400lb BLUE MARLIN RELEASE ABOARD GOOD DAY TODAY!
Day 3 of Didier & Steven's Costa Rican Fishing adventure is going to be one they will not forget for a long time!
Steven had the battle of his life catching a beautiful Blue Marlin which we estimated at 400lbs. The fish was caught on a live yellow Fin tuna on 50lb class tackle fishing close to some floating debris 36 miles off Quepos and took Steven 40 minutes to get to the boat. Another awesome day fishing in Costa Rica.
We also had another encounter with a Blue Marlin earlier in the day but could not get the hook to stick.
Didier caught a nice 30lb Bull Dorado and we caught lots of small Yellow Fin Tuna's & Bonitos. We also tried to catch some larger Tuna on Fly today but no luck on that front.
Aside from the excellent fishing memories created, the guys were treated to a Humpback Whale sighting, plenty of dolphins and turtles and even a large Manta Ray to top off the perfect day.
An awesome day at the office and looking forward to getting back out there with Didier and Steven tomorrow so stay tuned for more updates on our fishing in Quepos adventures!
