Another awesome day fishing in Costa Rica today.
0 for 2 on Marlin and a Dorado aboard GOOD DAY yesterday.
We lost a Marlin after a short battle and just when it looked like we would get no further action we hooked into a second Marlin late in the day on a live Bonito.
The fish put up a tremendous battle for over an hour for the two Mark's onboard. We had the leader 4-5 feet away and the fish super close on 3 occasions but we could not get her boat side on our light 30lb tackle & eventually the Marlin's bill chaffed through the leader. It was a hard one to call but an easy 300-400lb, perhaps bigger, the girth was huge.
We witnessed Humpback Whales breaching & tail slapping close by, mating turtles and the best weather of the week.
