19 year old Max joined us for his graduation trip with his parents and we set out in search of finding him a bucket list Billfish.
We lost a Dorado in the first 5 minutes and had a second Dorado on the teaser a short while later. It proved dreadfully slow for ourselves and several other boats for the next few hours as we covered the miles, we tried everything but could just not find the fish.
Late afternoon we decided to head Inshore and went to catch some Sardines for Livebait & fished inshore for a Roosterfish, Jacks Etc And then pushed tight along the beach looking for a Snook or Snapper. We lost 1 fish & missed another but despite adding a few extra hours to the trip, it proved it was just not our day as we eventually headed for the marina empty handed.
So our first blank/skunk of the new season, it always hurts and thankfully it doesn’t happen too often.
The crazy thing is the day previous we could not stop catching fish and this happened again on yesterday’s trip also…catch report to follow soon.
Hopefully we’ll see Max back on the water again soon in search of his dream fish.
