A small issue with our prop shaft meant that we had to put Gayla & Dale from Texas aboard the Pez Espada for their Offshore Fishing in Costa Rica. Captain Rocco & mate Santos are a quality team and the Pez Espada is a fantastic boat.
We headed 28 miles offshore and found some floating debris which was loaded with bait. We quickly caught a Dorado and then some Bonito and small Yellow Fin Tuna for livebait. The first 3 Livebaits resulted in a missed Wahoo, a 30lb Bull Dorado & a Blue Marlin for Gayla, the first Marlin of her life! It was a fantastic Fish, caught on a Tuna livebait and a joy to watch her catch. It was a hectic start to the trip!
After the Marlin was released we caught a couple of Tripletails for dinner and then Gayla got in amongst more Billfish action releasing a Sailfish.
A really special day on the water, with fantastic company and some great fish caught - what more could you ask for!
