Any day you catch a Black Marlin on a Spinning rod is a GREAT DAY!
Huge congrats to Jeff Holliday on his first ever Black Marlin today aboard GOOD DAY, a stunning fish around the 200lb mark which he fought for 90 minutes on a Spinning rod & reel that we use for Roosterfish & Snook fishing! The fish was caught in 230' of water just 11 miles from the Marina. We will be telling our grandchildren about this one!!
The Marlin was released as with all Marlin we catch in Costa Rica.
We had a great time catching 7 Dorado on the light tackle also.
Back out fishing in Quepos tomorrow!
