We had a really fun time out on the water and seen Dolphins, a few turtles and lots of Sea Birds. The water temperature was really hot today and pushed the dial to 89.2 degrees which seemed just too hot for the fish this afternoon.
We seen a few lazy free jumping Sailfish but there was no Baitfish on the surface and whilst there were hundreds of birds out there, they were not feeding. We can only assume that the Fish & Baitfish are down deep where the water is cooler. We hear it is around 10 degrees cooler only 50 feet down which does explain what might be going on with fish holding deep.
We didn't catch any fish today but had a blast all the same and were treated to a stunning sunset as we cruised back to the Marina.
As the saying goes, a bad day fishing is better than a good day working!
