ROOSTERFISH FISHING COSTA RICA!
Tim & Bob from Dorset are joining us this week for a mixture of Inshore & Offshore Fishing in Costa Rica aboard GOOD DAY & a couple of other boats.
Day 1 yesterday aboard the Wild Lady the guys caught a 30lb Dorado, a Tuna & missed a Sailfish.
Day 2 today aboard GOOD DAY we caught 7 Roosterfish in the 10lb to 20lb Range, 1 nice Mackerel, 1 Jack & 2 Needlefish.
We had some good action on the top water poppers with Roosterfish, Big Eye Jacks, Jacks, Snappers, Mackerel & Needlefish all chasing down the poppers but not committing.
Today we encountered more bait than we have seen in a long time with a 10 mile stretch of the coast being full of jumping Bonitos, Blue Runners, Sardines & what must have been thousands of Mobula Rays that were jumping literally everywhere, one almost came in the boat at one point! Great to see such a healthy stretch of the ocean to give us hope for the future.
