2018 MARINA PEZ VELA OPEN!
We are delighted to host the all girls team ‘Ladies of Marina Pez Vela’ aboard GOOD DAY for the Marina Pez Vela Open which is taking place here in Costa Rica this weekend.
Day 1 yesterday saw Megan, Andrea, Maria & Lidieth Fish their first ever Sportfishing tournament. The day got off to a flyer when we found some Tuna that were hungry and each one of the girls caught a nice sized Tuna each. One HUGE!!! Tuna exploded on one of our surface lures but unluckily pulled the hook after a few seconds...that fish would have been a crowd pleaser at the scales for sure!
Things were slow for us on the Billfish front with just 1 Sailfish released but everyone had a blast & enjoyed the team festivities!
Results after day 1:
1. Caliente - 1 Marlin & 5 Sailfish
2. Billfish - 1 Marlin & 4 Sailfish
3. Miss Judy - 6 Sailfish
Heaviest Dorado 61lb
Heaviest Tuna 43lb
