It was the fourth & final day Fly Fishing in Quepos Costa Rica for Julian, Sebastian & Skyler.
What a pleasure it has been to host these guys this week. A Father and his 15 & 16 year old sons who live & breath Fly Fishing. 15 year old Skyler ties many of the flies for their family trips & 100% of the fish that we caught over the 4 days were released. Put the IPADs away & take your kids fishing guys!
Today the guys caught 2 small Roosterfish, 2 Mackerel & missed/lost a few more fish. We could not find a big Rooster despite best efforts. We spent time today fishing for Milkfish and encountered some HUGE Milky's (30lb plus) but could not get them interested in our algae flies. We had some chases off HUGE Barracuda but they were skittish & moving away at the last moment.
A fantastic 4 days with Sailfish, Dorado, Roosterfish, Jacks & Mackerel released on fly. The Blue Marlin that ate our Fly yesterday was my personal favourite moment of the week, can't stop thinking about it!
