GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN FISHING IN QUEPOS COSTA RICA
It was a total pleasure to have the all girls team of Peyton, Terri, Linda, Terry & Connie join us recently aboard GOOD DAY for a ladies day out with a difference, 40+ miles off the coast of Costa Rica!
After a slow morning with just 1 missed Sailfish, we pushed out to 43 miles to a group of Tuna and spinner Dolphins. Despite trying hard for almost 2 hours, we could not manage to catch a Tuna, at 1.30pm we had not caught a fish and it was looking a strong possibility that this result could remain for the rest of the day.
Thankfully that was not to be and as is so true with fishing, fortune can change at any moment! We went onto enjoy a simply fantastic end to the day as the bite switched on and we caught 4 Sailfish in a row, narrowly missing out on a 5th.
Then just as we were about to pull the lines in and head home, a Blue Marlin crashed the party and gave Terri a heck of a fight for 30 mins putting on a great show with lots of jumps before finally getting away when we were just 20 feet from the leader.
It was a shame to lose the fish but just an incredible high energy end to a great day!
