We fished a nice area in 600-800’,
30 miles out with some birds and dolphins feeding on baitfish. That was a nice sign as there are large areas with zero happening at this time of year. We seen Humpback Whales, Turtles and lots of Dolphins. We ate fresh Tuna sashimi, Costa Rican Arroz con Pollo (Chicken Rice), Fresh Fruit & Pasta Salad. It was a simply stunning September day with flat calm seas and blue skies to enjoy a day on the water with family & friends... not bad for our rainy season!
Catch Report:
1 Marlin
1 Bull Dorado
3 for 6 on Sailfish
9 small Yellow Fin Tuna
The currents were nasty for a while out there over the past month or so with lots of green water but around 10 days ago started switching around to fairly normal directions and pushing some nice clearer water through from Offshore. We fished in water temps of 81F on Friday & 84F on Saturday, hopefully some good rain over the coming couple of weeks will keep the water temps down & bring the Dorados here in good numbers.
Plenty of days available if anyone would like to go fishing & get rid of the Covid blues!
