After 5 Sailfish & 4 Dorados during day 1, we decided to head out deep on the hunt for Tuna & Marlin on day 2 with Scott, Austin & Chayton from Washington state joining us aboard GOOD DAY.
We fished 40+ miles out in 5000 feet of cobalt blue water and when we stumbled on some floating debris loaded with bait, conditions looked just perfect for a Marlin.
Our luck with the Marlin was not to be but debris provided the fish of the day in the form of a stunning 63” Bull Dorado which we estimated at around the 45-50lbs mark, Scott was delighted with his catch!
Austin then added a Sailfish to the tally and had a blast swim releasing the Sailfish and getting the underwater perspective of what it looks like out there.
No luck on the Tuna & Marlin but the guys fish their third & final day aboard MAR 1 today, fingers crossed for a great day!
