We were back at it today after a nice few days off & it was great to have Chris, David, John & Bart from Minnesota aboard GOOD DAY Fishing in Costa Rica.
The day started excellent when we found a 40 foot tree floating 10 miles Offshore and the guys had some fun catching 7 small Dorado on the Spinning Rods & pulling the hook on a bigger fish.
28 miles Offshore we added a Sailfish to the tally before we got the radio call that there were Tuna a bit further Offshore. There was surface action all around us with Blue Runner & Caballa baitfish getting smashed by the Tuna school. We caught 4 Tuna pretty quickly & then resumed the Billfish hunt to look for a Marlin to try and put the silver lining on an already incredible day. Our Marlin was not to be but the guys had a blast ending up with:
7 Dorado
4 Tuna
1 Sailfish
