We have just finished 2 days with Lamar & Dana who are visiting Costa Rica from California to celebrate their honeymoon, congrats guys!
Day 1 - Dana was over the moon excited to release her first ever Sailfish, a 93” fish of around 75-80lbs. We raised 6-7 Sails, but were unlucky with some missed/lost fish plus a few lazy fish that followed but would not bite. We fished hard but could not add to the tally & finished up on 1 Sailfish.
Day 2 - we got off to a great start catching 3 nice sized Wahoo during the first couple of hours which the guys were delighted with.
We then changed gears and focused on trying to catch a Cubera Snapper for the rest of the day which was at the top of Lamar’s Bucketlist. We missed a few Fish & Dana got broke off in the Reef by what seemed like our target species! We stayed at it until 5.30pm but today was just not our day for a Cubera and that challenge will have to wait for another day!
The guys will be back for their third & final day on Friday!
