Fishing in Quepos Costa Rica
Great to have regular visitor Peppi fishing aboard GOOD DAY again for an Offshore trip.
We headed 40+ miles off Quepos in search of some action but only raised 2 Sailfish all day, both of which we failed to convert.
It proved to be a slow day's trolling but thankfully we got the radio call that there were Tuna & Spinner Dolphins within reach so we picked up and ran to where the Tuna were and the guys had a great last hour of action landing 4 nice Tuna in the 30-40lb range on spinning rods.
Our friends aboard the Pez Espada only had 3 bites trolling all day and converted those into 2 Blue Marlin, both in the 300lb range. It just shows you slow days can still be special ones!
We enjoyed fresh Tuna Sashimi & Cold Beers on the way back to the Marina wrapping up an excellent day on the water with great company.
