It was the final day of fishing in Costa Rica yesterday for my buddy Alastair Macleod from the Isle of Man before he catches the BA direct flight to London today.
After losing 3-4 Cubera Snappers this week we spent the morning catching some good sized Blue Runner & Bonito Live Baits &
hit the Reef for a couple of hours to try & get some revenge on the Cuberas. We were marking lots of fish but our live baits and artificials could just not get them interested.
So we pushed further Offshore to 37 miles where we found a nice group of Tuna &
Spinner Dolphins.
We caught 3 nice Tuna of approx 50lb, 70lb & 90lb, lost a couple and missed a few more aswell as catching a few small Dorado, Rainbow Runners at the Reef.
So no Cubera for Ali this time but he was delighted with the Tuna which kicked his backside on the spinning tackle and we had a simply awesome Tuna & Dorado feast at Z Poolside Bistro to top off an excellent visit!
