Fantastic day aboard GOOD DAY yesterday fishing 30+ miles out of Quepos, Costa Rica.
Our clients cancelled their booking with just a couple of days notice so what do you do on your day off? Go fishing in Quepos!!
Benn, Captain Manuel & his Wife Jolanda, mate Michael & our friend Jose were aboard. We caught lots of Bonito & Blue Runner live baits in the morning & then headed offshore.
We found three separate schools of Tuna throughout the day, all of them holding large fish and surrounded by hundreds of spinner Dolphins. We caught 8 Yellow Fin Tuna of 75lb, 38lb, 36lb & 5 smaller fish. All the large fish caught on Live Baits, the small fish on poppers or lures.
Jolanda was the star of the day catching all 3 of the larger fish whilst the boys had to settle for the small ones!
