2018 OFFSHORE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!
So that’s a wrap on the 2018 OWC here at the Marina Pez Vela, Costa Rica.
It has been a true celebration of Sport Fishing with 51 teams from 30 countries visiting our small town of Quepos and the Anglers start their long journey home today.
A huge congratulations to the Brazilians who took 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions in this year’s event! Excellent fishing throughout the week, with very good bite to hookup ratios & totally deserved. We are delighted to be part of their success, both the 2nd & 3rd place teams fished on GOOD DAY & had excellent days with us catching 5 Sailfish on day 1 & 1 Marlin & 2 Sailfish on day 4.
Total Catch tally for the week:
328 Sailfish
24 Marlin (1 Black, 23 Blue)
Some huge Dorado up to 62lb
3 Wahoo & plenty of Tuna
GOOD DAY finished in 10th place out of 51 of the top charter boats in Costa Rica. Congrats to the top 3 boats Epic, Mako & Super Fly!
Another world class event here in Costa Rica & looking forward to next year!
