\We have just finished an awesome couple of days Fly Fishing in Quepos & great to see Jesse land a Rooster on the Fly!
Day 1
Raised 5 Roosterfish but could not get any to stick.
Missed a few Mackerel & Needlefish
Day 2
1 for 3 on Roosterfish
0 for 2 on Dorado
0 for 3 on Sailfish
It was a great couple of days & our results were so close to being very different with another lost Rooster boatside & a couple of other Roosters chewing on our Flies that just missed the hook.
After releasing a Roosterfish, we ran Offshore mid morning on day 2 and were inches away from hooking into a nice Dorado straight off the bat. We had a shot at a second Dorado a while later and then raised 3 Sailfish which kept coming up on our long teaser baits & were tricky to make a solid cast at.
There is an ultra fine line between success & failure in Fly Fishing - all part of the fun & the challenge!
