Yesterday we had a full day offshore fishing trip with 'Sailfish virgins' David & Jessica Hopper who were visiting Costa Rica for their honeymoon, 2 weeks after tying the knot in Alabama which was a great party we hear!
Despite a very warm Sea temperature of 87.8f/31c, fishing in Quepos did not disappoint & there were lots of Sailfish 22 miles S.W. of Quepos.
We raised 36 Sailfish throughout the day, had 28 bites, released 8 fish & lost another 8 fish. So not only did David & Jessica catch their first ever Sailfish, they went on to release 8 between them! David had some great attempts hooking his own Sailfish & was very close to landing one only for a couple of jump offs. He will get one next time for sure!
