SAILFISH & DORADO, GOOD DAY COSTA RICA!
We have just finished two great days fishing in Costa Rica aboard our 31’ GOOD DAY.
27 July
4 for 4 on Sailfish & 1 nice Dorado
Regular guests Jim & the Ballena Banditos from Dominical & Uvita joined us for a great days fishing. There were no Tuna within reach unfortunately but the guys had a great day with the Sails & a nice sized Dorado.
28 July
4 Sailfish & 1 nice Dorado - same result as yesterday but stopped fishing at 12.30pm! Lots of Sails out there today around 30 miles out, we were marking Sailfish on the sounder all day fishing in 450 feet of water and plenty of birds & dolphins working bait on the surface. We raised 11 Sailfish today, a few weak bites & missed/lost fish made our release numbers lower than we would have liked but a successful day all the same with all Anglers onboard releasing Billfish.
Great to have Eric & Patrick from Dallas Texas aboard together with their sons Miles (14) & Luke (11). The boys did a great job catching their first ever Billfish & 11 year old Luke caught the fish of the day, a big Sail around the 100lb Mark & a 25lb Dorado.
Heading Offshore again tomorrow!
